Clipping claws can be tricky and a bit nerve-racking – especially if the claws are black. Why not make an appointment at the Nest to have your piggie’s claws cut here? It’s something we are doing almost everyday!
With long-haired piggies, it can be difficult to keep on top of grooming routines. Matted hair can appear quickly and, if not sorted out, it can be painful, pulling on the piggie’s skin. We can trim piggies so their bottoms stay clean and dry and, over summer, they feel cooler and stay tidier.
A basic health check can address: weight, potential mite issues and treatment, potential fungal infection and treatment, eyes, ears and teeth. If we can’t give basic advice, we will always refer you to your vet.
We can also give advice on bonding and trying to keep your piggies happy together.
Guinea pig grooming and health check:
- Long haired piggie – health check, brush, trim, and claws trim – £10.00
- Short haired piggie – health check, and trim claws – £5.00
- Rabbit claws – £8.00
